In Sunnbüel near Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland, there are two marked snowshoe loop trails: The short “Sunnbüel” trail is 2 km long, takes about 2 hours, and has an elevation gain of 220 meters. The longer “Spittelmatte” route is 5 km long, takes about 2.5 hours, and has an elevation gain of 260 meters. Snowshoes can be rented at the valley station and reserved in advance.
