What outdoor guidelines apply to rockfall?

Following rainfall and significant temperature fluctuations (day/night), the risk of rockfalls, wet avalanches, debris flows, and falling rocks has increased in the Oeschinensee Sunnbüel areas near Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. Warning signs include fresh impact marks, rock deposits, and areas where rock has broken away. The more exposed the trail is, the higher the risk—in such areas, it is important to proceed quickly. Hiking is always at your own risk. Many rockfalls are often triggered by other hikers, climbers, or animals. Avoid throwing stones, as you do not know who might be in the terrain below your path.
