When the ice is thick enough and there is sufficient snow, a trail is cleared on the lake for the “Ice Walk” in the Oeschinensee area Oeschinensee Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. This is open to all pedestrians. Good, warm winter hiking boots are required. When using the “Ice Walk,” you must strictly observe the official authorization to walk on the frozen lake as well as the local avalanche bulletin.
