Due to the increased risk of wildfires, open fires are permitted only at official barbecue sites in the Sunnbüel area of Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. Cutting down trees, branches, or other natural materials is strictly prohibited. An official barbecue site is located near Arveseeli, about a 45-minute walk from the mountain station.
